چکیده
The antifungal property containing oil cakes play a significant role in reducing plant disease wide range of soil-borne pathogens. A destructive pathogen, Sclerotium rolfsii is infecting vast crops worldwide. In-vitro efficacy five different viz. mahua cake, neem pungam coconut cake and castor extracts was tested against the stem rot pathogen groundnut. Among cakes, extract produced minimum mycelial growth 1.57and1.29 cm at 5%, 10% concentrations, respectively showed maximum percent inhibition 83.33and 86.66% respectively. Bioactive compounds were analyzed through GC-MS. From result GC-MS, high retention time peak area percentage observed with major important bioactive like n-Hexadecanoic acid (24.968) (12.22), Hexadecanoic acid, ethyl ester (23.655) (2.9), 9,12-Octadecadienoic (Z, Z)-(28.659)(35.61), 9-Octadecenoic (E)-(28.786) (13.15), Octadecanoic (29.137) (33.59) a1-Octyn-3-ol (3.023) (0.04).The identified GC-MS from found to be exhibiting activity S. rolfsii.

Stem rot disease was found in garlic (Allium sativum L.) cultivated from 2008 to 2010 in the vegetable gardens of some farmers in Geumsan-myon, Jinju City, Gyeongnam province in Korea. The initial symptoms of the disease were typical water-soaked spots, which progressed to rotting, wilting, blighting, and eventually death. White mycelial mats had spread over the lesions near the soil line, and ...

Sclerotium rot was found on Cymbidium orchids at Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea, in July, 2010. Symptoms occurred on low leaves, which turned yellowish, after which the entire plant wilted. Severely infected plants were blighted and eventually died. White mycelial mats and sclerotia appeared on pseudobulbs. Based on the mycological characteristics and pathogenicity, the causal fungus was i...

In this study, we characterized sporadically occurring sclerotium rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii in Chinese chive (Allium tuberosum Roth.) in farm fields in Sacheon, Korea. The initial symptom of the disease was water-soaked, which progressed to rotting, wilting, blighting, and eventually death. Further, mycelial mats spread over the lesions near the soil line, and sclerotia formed on the sca...
